Founded in 1969 as a Silicon Valley start-up, the AMD journey began with dozens of employees who were passionate about creating leading-edge semiconductor products. AMD has grown into a global company setting the standard for high performance and adaptive computing. Its mission is to build greate products that accelerate the next generation computng experiences.

Joined in 2013 as Principal Program Manager and part of AI organization. I have listed my detailed journey below:

  • Strategy & Execution

    • Define and drive execution strategy of multiple AIML programs across Client (Laptops & Desktops), and EPYC (Servers) in collaboration with VP of Engineering, Director of QA, Software Architects and Dev-Ops.

    • Own clarifying and analyzing the requirements, assessing the technical feasibility, scoping the release based on the timeline provided, defining the release milestones and executing it end to end.

    • Work with Client BU, Server BU and Marketing teams to understand AMD’s strategic and competitive position and deliver products that are recognized best in the industry.

  • People Management

    • Manage, mentor and grow a team of 5 technical program execution leaders.

    • Responsible for people management – hiring, performance reviews, career development, and providing continuous feedback.

  • Cross-functional Leadership

    • Collaborate with cross functional teams, including client business units, software engineering teams, marketing teams, dev-ops and customer support team to manage dependencies, drive execution and deliver broader solutions.

    • Collaborate with Engineering and Product Leadership across Client and EPYC to define long term strategy for AIG organization.

    • Build and scale the AI organization to support multiple other products and services. 

  • Slide Deck Presentation

    • Report Status to internal and external stakeholders on a weekly basis.

    • Prepare decks for AI-OPS to AI Leadership (SVP and CEO) and other internal stakeholders.

    • Prepare decks for Quarterly briefings for AMD SVP and CEO and sometimes for our key partners and customers.
