Citrix-Online Journey

Citrix Online is part of Citrix systems. Its mission is to build tools which allows everyone to work from anywhere. GoToMeeting, GoToWebinar, GoToTraining, GoToAssist are some if its popular products.

Joined in 2011 as a QA Lead (2011 - 2012) and was part of Product Engineering group in San Francisco and then I moved to Santa Barbara to join Digital Products team as an Agile Program Manager (2012 - 2016). I have listed my detailed journey below:

  1. Focused on Execution and Delivery of complex programs: Lead and drive program/project execution for multiple teams in partnership with Engineering, Product Management, Ops and other cross functional teams to deliver successful business outcome.

  2. Championed Agile Best Practices: Promoted continuous improvement by evaluating the use of best practices like using Agile/SCRUM methodology.

    • Facilitated scrum ceremonies and team building activities across multiple scrum teams.

    • Drove Inspect & Adapt mindset across the board. 

  3. QA Automation:

    • Planned and executed functional and system level testing of web-based remote access applications on Windows, Unix and Mac based platforms. (Adobe CQ5).

    • Designing, writing, conducting, and directing the development of tests to verify the functionality, accuracy, and efficiency of developed or enhanced software. 

    • Wrote automated test cases using Selenium which is a tool for automated testing of web applications and follow up to get them reviewed and approved, executes tests, records results and defects.

  4. Cross team collaboration:

    • Worked with Business and Technology stakeholders to understand acceptance criteria for a story. 

    • Worked with Engineering and QA team to reproduce defects and get them resolved.

  5. Overall Experience:

    • It was great to work with backend teams which supported GoTomeeting behind the scenes infrastructure like screen-sharing service, document-dispatch service and chat service using SOA - Service Oriented Architecture.

    • Moving to Digital Products team in 2012 was my next calling and it was fun. I got an opportunity to working on various online meeting products.

    • I was involved in automating buy and trial flows for each one of them. We use Adobe CQ5 to build our websites.

  6. Fun Moments:

    • My team and I participated in Bocce tournaments and we won Bocce 2015 Championship.

    • Santa Barbara is a beautiful place and we enjoyed loads of team outings, movie nights, agile training sessions and product design workshops.
