Karasjok
This is a small town in Norway. It is inhabited by the the indigenous sami people. Their flag has three gold-colored flames on a red background. The flames were chosen as a symbol for the importance of fire to the local (nomadic) sami people.
Honningsvåg
This is the northernmost town in mainland Norway. It is located in Nordkapp Municipality. This is where we began our journey to North Cape.
North cape
This is one of the northernmost point in Europe. It is ~2100 Kms from the north pole. This is where we saw the MidNight Sun. It was an awesome experience. This is a very popular tourist attraction. The cape includes a 307-metre-high cliff (1,007 ft) with a large flat plateau on top, where visitors, weather permitting, can watch the midnight sun and views of the Barents Sea to the north.
Bergen
It is a city in Norway’s southwestern coast. It's surrounded by mountains and fjords. It features colorful wooden houses on the old wharf - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then, we took Funicular Tram to Mt. Floyen to enjoy panoramic view of Bergen city from the top.
Sognefjord
It is the largest and deepest fjord in Norway. It stretches 205 kilometres inland from the ocean to the small village of Skjolden in the municipality of Luster.
Oslo
Arrived in Oslo by train, the capital of Norway. We enjoy city orientation tour wherein we came across the world famous Vigeland Sculpture Park, Opera House and the Kon Tiki Museum. Then, in the evening we boarded an overnight cruise to Copenhagen.
