GOAL of the program : To provide proactive care in the remote, distributed world.

How did I help : I manage the strategy and delivery of the main consumer facing iOS and Android flagship application.

  • Delivered the consumer facing mobile applications for Kaiser Permanente and grew team from one squad to over 4 squads that deliver on time, within budget, and with high quality.

  • Drive the roadmap, estimations, sow, finances, and delivery of consumer facing iOS and Android application as well as mobile web, which increased digital adoption as consumers shifted from web to mobile in collaboration with Design, Product, Engineering, DevOps, Marketing, Legal, Customer Support, Analytics, and other teams.

  • Transforming consumer mobile presence from digitally enabled to digital first while maintaining high quality and reducing time to market.

  • Delivering the highest rated consumer mobile applications in healthcare (rated 4.4 in the iTunes store and 4.2 in the Google Play store) that have extremely high levels of adoption.

  • Improving mobile application, testing strategy and processes to decrease time to market while improving quality, resulting in mobile releases once a month.

On-Prem Care Gaps Initiative

  • This feature helps in making a member’s trip to the facility more productive by taking care of lab tests, pharmacy pick up, etc while they were at the facility.

COVID-19 Initiative

  • Created a flexible solutions of enabling a member to book a COVID-19 Vaccination appointment and increased the engagement from 10% CTR to 30% CTR.

Get Care Now Initiative

This feature provides kaiser members access to virtual urgent care on demand. For some health problems, a phone call or video call with a doctor or nurse can save you time and money. This is called virtual care. You will use a computer, phone, or other device to talk to a doctor or nurse. You may have a live video connection. This may be done from a doctor's office so you can talk to a provider who is somewhere else. Or you may be able to connect from your home.

Team Improvements -

  • Minimize deviation between what is committed vs what we deliver in every sprint.

  • Increase team’s velocity sprint over sprint.

  • Identify and improved scrum defects and SIT (Software Integration Testing) defects sprint over sprint.

  • Measured the impact against the KP’s business/experience group OKRs.

How did we improve the efficiency?

  • Optimized the attendance on our internal and external meetings.

  • Created program calls to surface issues earlier and later.

  • In order to have a continuously groomed backlog, introduced Solutioning Meetings with Product Manager and Tech leads.

  • To prevent production misses, implemented Correction of Errors process which helps in identifying process gaps and analyzing the root cause.
